Departmental Quality Assurance System

The Board of the Department of Exercise, Human and Health Sciences (DiSMUS) has defined as of Feb. 3, 2023, the structure of the departmental Quality Assurance system, constituting:

  • the Departmental Teaching Commission (CDD)
  • the Departmental Research Committee (CRD)
  • The Third Mission/Social Impact Commission (CTM-IS).

 

The committees, liaising with the relevant offices, curate an annual report that flows into the annual report on departmental activities, prepared by the Departmental Council, submitted to the Departmental Council for approval and addressed to the Governing Bodies.

The members of the departmental committees were appointed by the Department Council on Dec. 12, 2024, upon the proposal of the Council, and serve until the end of the Director’s term.

Departmental Research Committee (CRD)

Composition

 

Functions

  • Collaborates in drafting and monitors the implementation of the Departmental Strategic Plan with regard to research;
  • Provides analysis, opinions and proposals to the Departmental Council and Board;
  • Is in charge of evaluating and monitoring the quality of the Department’s research;
  • edits an annual report that is incorporated into the Department’s annual report;
  • Coordinates VQR-related activities (through the VQR delegate) and evaluates the results obtained;
  • Interacts with the Research Office and liaises with Rectoral Delegate for Research on issues of common interest at the University level;
  • Collaborates with the University Research Committee;
  • responds to the directions of PQA and NVA as far as the research of the Department is concerned;
  • Interacts with the PhD course regarding the analysis of results related to ANVUR indicators.

 

Third Mission/Social Impact Commission (CTM-IS)

Composition

 

Functions

  • Collaborates in drafting and monitors the implementation of the Departmental Strategic Plan with regard to TM/IS/TT;
  • edits an annual report that is incorporated into the Department’s annual report;
  • Coordinates the activities of TM/IS/TT;
  • monitors the needs of the area through discussion with social partners promotes autonomous and joint initiatives;
  • collects proposals forTM/IS/TT activities from all structured parties in the Department (call at a specific time of the year) and develops an activity plan based on the collected proposals;
  • Collects reports of initiatives implemented with the support of the offices;
  • interacts with theOffice of Third Mission, Social Impact and Technology Transfer (created from the expansion of the TT office);
  • Discusses with the Rectoral Delegate to TT on issues of interest to the University;
  • It interacts with the Foro Italico University Foundation;
  • responds to PQA and NVA guidance on TM/IS as it pertains to the Department.

 

Departmental Teaching Commission (CDD)

Composition

 

Functions

  • Collaborates in drafting and monitors the implementation of the Departmental Strategic Plan with regard to teaching;
  • Coordinates and supervises the CdS offered by the Department;
  • Constructively shares possible critical issues that are difficult to resolve;
  • responds to PQA, NVA, and CPDS guidance on teaching as it pertains to the department
  • in compliance with the University’s strategic plan and departmental strategic plan, is in charge of new educational projects and oversees strategic choices on issues of innovation and internationalization of teaching;
  • takes care of the Department’s annual report on teaching on the basis of the reports required by the AVA system.
