The Joint Faculty-Student Committee (CPDS) is a permanent observatory of the Department’s educational activities, monitoring the educational offerings and quality of teaching and support services, collecting and discussing the reports and suggestions of students and faculty.
In compliance with Law No. 240/2010, it performs the following tasks:
- Monitors educational offerings and the quality of teaching, as well as student service activities by professors and researchers;
- Identifies indicators for the evaluation of their results;
- Delivers opinions on the activation and suppression of courses of study.
In connection with its duties, the CPDS acquires all useful information, including data from internal or external evaluation procedures of the courses under its responsibility and related teaching and services.
As a result of its activities, the CPDS is required to prepare, by December 31 each year, a Report on its activities, from which observations and proposals for improving the quality and effectiveness of teaching can emerge.
The CPDS Reports are sent to the CoS Chairs and the Department for them to take corrective and improvement actions, and also submitted to the University Quality Presidium and the Evaluation Board. The Report is also submitted to MIUR through the SUA (Single Annual Data Sheet) database of the CdS.
