The Orientation and Turoting Service informs and guides potential students in making a conscious choice of their educational path at the University of Rome “Foro Italico,” welcomes newly enrolled students to the University, through information meetings organized in collaboration with other Offices and Services, and supports them during their course of study, offering them the tools to plan their future. The office is also a reference point for students of the University who wish to continue their studies internally, providing support for the choice of second educational paths (master’s degrees, master’s degrees, specialization courses).

Throughout the year, it organizes events and meetings for individual students and educational institutions with the aim of promoting awareness of the university’s educational offerings, admission procedures and methods, and the services and opportunities the university provides.

Activities

• Collaboration with institutions dedicated to orientation distributed throughout the local and national territory and in particular with the Lazio Regional School Office and MIUR, with the aim of implementing specific orientation projects
• Organization of high school students’ visits to the university and participation in orientation initiatives organized by high schools
• Organization of Orientation Days expressly dedicated to the Lazio Region Sports High Schools
• Information and promotion of selection notices for access to Courses of Study, in collaboration with the Student Services Area
• Welcoming freshmen through information meetings organized in collaboration with other Offices and Services
• Assisting students enrolled part-time in the formulation of the individual study plan and monitoring compliance with the Regulations of Courses of Study
• Individual counseling to prospective students at the stage of transition from high school to college to facilitate an informed decision
• Counseling for students at the university in the transition phase from a bachelor’s degree program to a master’s degree program and/or a postgraduate program
• “Front office” service for solving administrative and organizational problems and requesting tutoring, with special attention to students with doubts or difficulties of various kinds
• Design and implementation of mentoring projects for enrolled students aimed at improving their performance and reducing dropouts.
