The University’s Infrastructure and Security Area is primarily concerned with the planning, design and execution of works, services and supplies necessary for both preventive, corrective and security maintenance of the university’s infrastructure, as well as the modernization and expansion of the IT network.
To this end, it plans and drafts the three-year Public Works Program and the Three-year program for the purchase of goods and services with their related updates. Among other things, these schedules define the needs of the university from a functional and dimensional aspect as well as identify the priority of interventions.
The Area is in charge of activating the procedural process for the awarding of programmed works, supplies and services that are concluded by entering into agreements or contracting.
The Area coordinates the various work directions by providing technical administrative assistance up to acceptance. Within the Area, once the procedures are concluded, all contracts and accounting financial flows related to the settlement of invoices and the drafting of budgets and final accounts about the expenses to be incurred by the Area are then managed.
The Area deals with health and safety in workplaces defined by Legislative Decree 81/2008 and supports the Employer and Managers (Defined in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 Article 2 paragraph 1 letter d) and responsible for the various university facilities) in the protection of health and safety in the workplace.
Draws up annually the Emergency and evacuation plans..
Finally, the Area is also in charge of managing the logistics of the University’s spaces aimed at ensuring the regularity of scheduled educational activities.
