The University makes research funding available to the Department’s faculty through internal competitive calls for proposals. The resources are allocated by the Academic Senate and the Board of Directors for the funding of research projects of particular strategic importance for the University itself and must contribute explicitly to support basic and/or applied research in the field of human movement and sport sciences, favoring its multidisciplinary aspect. The procedure involves the issuance of periodic calls for proposals, with funding applications being evaluated by external referees, under the coordination of the University Research Committee.
