Enrolment is the registration for the first year of a degree programme at the University. It is carried out exclusively online by accessing your personal account and requires payment of the first instalment and the comprehensive annual fee (second and third instalments) according to the deadlines indicated each year.

The enrolment procedure for all bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes involves:
Step 1 – Online completion of matriculation application
- Log on to the reserved area of the website and login with your username and password
- From the menu, access “Segreteria” and then “Immatricolazioni”
- Complete the online application in its entirety. Following approval by the relevant offices, the matriculation number will be sent. The application should not be sent or delivered in paper format
- Persons with a recognized disability under Art. 3.1 and Art. 3.3 of Law No. 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more, before proceeding to the payment of matriculation fees, must send an e-mail to segreteria.studenti@uniroma4.it and tutorato.specializzato@uniroma4.it to request the application of the total exemption from the payment of the matriculation fee and the Regional Right to Study Fee with the exception of the stamp duty of €16.00. Attached to the e-mail must be:
- their own certification of disability/invalidity
- The completed and signed declaration in lieu of affidavit
- one’s own valid identity document
Step 2 – Payment of the 1st registration installment
The payment of the 1st enrollment installment (DSU regional fee and virtual stamp) must be made exclusively through the PagoPA procedure, which can be reached from the reserved area by clicking on “Secretariat” and then on “Payments” and on the invoice automatically generated after filling out the matriculation application. The payment will be visible in this same area after a few days. No other forms of payment are allowed.
Admitted candidates who do not enroll by the deadline dates are considered dropouts and thus allow the rankings to flow.
Step 3 – Payment of the 2nd and 3rd installment of enrollment
Payment of the 2nd and 3rd enrollment installment (annual inclusive omni contribution) must be made using the same procedure as indicated for the 1st installment. Invoices are available in the restricted area 15 days before the due date of each payment.
Students who want to take advantage of the reduction in the annual omni inclusive contribution must be in possession of the DSU-ISEE (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica) for benefits for the right to university study, which can be requested from a CAF-Fiscal Assistance Center or alternatively on the INPS website by accessing the online services by November 30 or in any case by December 31 with a charge for the relative late payment. The DSU-ISEE is issued on average in 10 working days from the date of request.
ISEE data are acquired automatically from the INPS database, and the 2nd and 3rd installments are adjusted according to the reference income bracket.
Those who do not activate the above procedures or do not want to declare income are automatically placed in the highest contribution bracket.

Institutional mailbox activation
Upon enrollment , the student is assigned a enrollment number and, thereafter, an institutional email box is created , which the student accesses using the same credentials he or she received when registering for the admission competition (same username and password as his or her private area login). The email address will, therefore, be configured as follows: nomeutente@studenti.uniroma4.it.
All student-university communication is done using only this mailbox, the account of which is deactivated within 360 days if the current a.y. enrollment is found to be inactive, and after 180 days from the date of career closure.
Waiver of enrollment
In case of withdrawal after matriculation , the amounts paid will not be refunded.
