Public Engagement

Public Engagement

Within the Third Mission activities, Public Engagement represents an important example of interaction between the University and a non-academic audience.

Public engagement events are carried out on a nonprofit basis, have educational, cultural and societal development value. Public engagement activities include meetings, exhibitions, workshops for children, participatory democracy initiatives, concerts, performances, film reviews, contests, publications, websites and social channels, and school engagement activities.

The University of Rome “Foro Italico” promotes these initiatives permanently throughout the year.

The main event is the day dedicated to sports – UniForoItalico Sport Day – an event designed to promote health through an active lifestyle and open to the public of all ages.

The Athenaeum also regularly organizes mornings dedicated to motor and sports sciences for secondary school students. In interacting with the world of education, the Athenaeum also supports urban development and land development projects, as in the case of the educational project Strade Maestre.

Among the public engagement activities the university organizes are initiatives linked to the RUniPace network, the Network of Italian Universities for Peace promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), which the university has joined since 2023.
