Internships

The University of Rome “Foro Italico” encourages the activation of numerous curricular and extra-curricular internships through a dense network of companies located throughout the regional and national territory, with which it collaborates to offer its students theopportunity of a concrete experience to complete their educational path.

Curricular internships begin and end no later than the date of graduation and are a key training and job acquaintance tool.

For students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, the internship can last from a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 12 months. For Master’s students, however, the maximum duration is 6 months.

Graduates of three-year and master’s degree programs, on the other hand, can access extra-curricular internships, which vary in duration between 2 and 12 months and can be activated within 12 months of graduation. Finally, this type of internship requires the host institution to report the start, extension, suspension and interruption of the internship itself to the Employment Center of territorial competence.

There are no constraints on the number of internships a person can do during his or her course of study. If, in the training project, the duration of the internship is less than the maximum duration stipulated by law, an extension can be requested from the training institution. In case of absence due to maternity leave, long illness or accident, for a duration of 30 days or more, the trainee can request a suspension of the internship.

Alternatively, it is possible to have recognize the work activities already in place.

  • Gather material useful for thesis writing;
  • learn about the realities of the world of work so that they can better guide future career choices;
