The University of Rome “Foro Italico” attributes a fundamental role to teaching as an integral part of its mission and considers it crucial, along with research and Third Mission, for the progress of society.

The ‘University is constantly striving to improve the quality of teaching and to develop skills and professionalism that respond to the country’s cultural, social and economic changes. It aims to provide a transformative learning experience, with teaching inspired by research and oriented to the needs of its students and learners.

Fundamental also is the commitment to creating an engaging student life and a diverse and international community of faculty, male and female researchers, and male and female students that will help solidify its reputation as a national and international benchmark for exercise science.

The University of Rome “Foro Italico” actively supports Dual Career pathways, offering support to students/athletes and female students/athletes throughout their education.

In addition, the University is committed to inclusion by providing specific services and support to students with disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs). The University’s inclusive policies have received overwhelmingly positive evaluations and have contributed to the increase in the number of students with disabilities and/or with DSA who have successfully completed their studies.

To ensure the quality of teaching, the university uses various self-evaluation methodologies, analyzing data from national indicators and reports from the joint committees between teaching staff and the student component. Satisfaction surveys are also conducted among male and female students to gather feedback on the coursework and further improve courses.

The University is committed to improving teaching spaces through agreements and conventions with local authorities and organizations to ensure adequate and quality learning environments. Measures are taken to recruit qualified faculty and maintain a favorable relationship between the teaching and student components.

Finally, the University of Rome “Foro Italico” is committed to identifying innovative methodologies to improve the quality of teaching and to developing e-learning activities, when appropriate, in order to adapt to more flexible forms of teaching.
