Single Committee of Guarantee (CUG)

Single Committee of Guarantee (CUG)

The Single Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunity, Enhancement of Workers’ Welfare and Against Discrimination (CUG) was established by Art. 21 of Law No. 183 of November 4, 2010, regulated by the “Guidelines on the Modalities of Operation of the Single Guarantee Committees” issued by Directive of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of March 4, 2011, and by Art. …. Of the University Statute.

The activity of the CUG is aimed at ensuring workers/employees, students/students of the University a serene study and work environment, in which interpersonal relationships are marked by fairness, mutual respect for the freedom and dignity of the person in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct of the University of Rome “Foro Italico”.

Specifically, the CUG is concerned with:

  • Ensure, within public work, gender equality and equal opportunities, strengthening the protection of male and female workers
  • ensure the absence of any form of moral or psychological violence and discrimination, direct and indirect, relating to gender, age, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, disability, religion and language
  • Promote the optimization of public work productivity, improving the efficiency of work performance, including through the implementation of a work environment characterized by the contrast to any form of discrimination

The CUG is aimed at people working in different capacities in the University: student population, technical-administrative staff, teaching and research staff, assignees, doctoral students, interns, staff with atypical contracts, etc.

Specifically, therefore:

  • promotes a culture of equality and affirmative action tending to ensure the removal of obstacles that, in fact, prevent the full realization of equal opportunities in study and work between men and women
  • accepts requests for support and takes action to remove and counter all forms of discrimination under the Code of Conduct.
  • publishes the Gender Balance Sheet, Positive Action Plan (PAP) and the Gender Equality plan (GEP) ( Italian and English versions).

The University is active in supporting the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women., which has been celebrated on November 25 every year since 1999 (United Nations General Assembly Resolution No. 54/134).

The issue of gender inequality, a breeding ground for violence in the world of sports, be it professional, academic and research, calls the University to play a multifaceted role, as an institution devoted to educating its members, but also to producing a virtuous culture on the ground.

In case of reports of any form of discomfort, discrimination, harassment or violence, whether physical, moral or psychological, relating to gender, age, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, disability, religion and language, you may request an interview with the Chairperson or write to:
