On November 23, 2023, the University of Rome “Foro Italico” hosted and sponsored together with AIS Italian Association of Sociology the conference entitled “The right not to defend oneself. Violence against women and sporting contexts: rhetoric, representations, countering and prevention practices “. It was an ‘opportunity to draw attention to the issue of gender inequality and violence against women on the occasion of the international day of the same name with a specific focus on the field of sports. The event was attended by institutional officials from bodies and associations active in the area and sensitive to the issue of gender issues in sports who, through their participation, helped stimulate a debate on the issue.

On this occasion, a red bench was also placed in the Boar’s Garden, which was inaugurated in the presence of the Rector, Prof. Attilio Parisi, the Director General, Dr. Lucia Colitti, and Prof. Francesca Romana Lenzi, president of the CUG.

In February 2024, the University adopted and customized the communication campaign #Finiscequi, created by the University of Trento: fifteen simple phrases containing discrimination, exclusion, harassment, made visible and loudly condemned by the University.

In November 2024, the Athenaeum produced and distributed a bookmark to promote the services offered by the CUG.
