Dissertation writing

Dissertation writing

Writing the dissertation represents one of the most important and challenging moments in every student’s academic journey. It is an opportunity to demonstrate the skills acquired during studies, develop research and critical analysis skills, and explore a specific topic in depth independently. The dissertation is not only a final proof, but also a personal project that requires planning, discipline and precision.

The guidelines, proposed by the University’s Quality Presidium, aim to support students in producing a coherent and structured thesis.

The basic steps for effective writing will be explained, starting from the choice of topic to the final revision of the text. Practical and methodological aspects such as content organization, use of sources, citation standards, and characteristics of style and language that contribute to the overall quality of the work will be explored.

By following these guidelines, students will be able to approach the writing process with greater awareness and confidence, making the most of their efforts and submitting work that reflects the seriousness and focus required.

The preparation of the thesis is awarded CFUs according to the regulations of the course of study in which one is matriculated. The thesis, therefore, is a concluding work of the graduate student’s educational pathway, which bases its formative value, not so much on the topic carried out, but on the work experience that such carrying out has entailed.
