Infrastructure and Security Area: activities of the offices

The Infrastructure and Security Area is divided into the following offices:

Office of Planning, Design, Works, Supplies and Services

He is in charge of the following activities:

  • Drafting of the Three-Year Schedule of works and purchases of goods and services;
  • Adoption of the procedures inherent in the awarding of engineering and architectural services, feasibility studies design, construction management, testing and obtaining the prescribed authorizations of the Supervisory Bodies and inherent in the authorization for the operation of facilities and all processes pertaining to the works, supplies and services in the three-year program;
  • Activities for licensing and/or coordination assignments given to outside professionals in coordination with Spp or D.L;
  • certificates of completion and technical verification of maintenance work or supervision to any testing operations carried out by external professionals;
  • mapping of properties in relation to changing uses, maintenance status, expected level of service, and guaranteed level of service;
  • Management of scheduled routine and extraordinary maintenance of building works and facilities;
  • Administrative management – accounting of energy and water supply contracts;
  • Management of procedures for the selection of contractors for the award of contracts for works, services and supplies with a value equal to or greater than the thresholds of community importance;
  • negotiation activities through e-procurement platforms such as CONSIP’s Traspare and MEPA;
  • Drafting, checking and verifying administrative and technical accounting documentation required during design, construction execution and testing;
  • Activities of Single Project Manager for the phases of Management and Maintenance of Collective Protection Devices design, coordination, direction, testing, technical-accounting and administrative control of contracts for works, services and supplies under the Contracts Code;
  • Activities of directing the execution of contracts for works, services and supplies in the area of competence or supervision of works directions entrusted to external professionals;
  • Activities to support and supervise Safety Coordination at construction sites;
  • Assistance and support to the RUPs in the areas and processes under their respective jurisdiction;
  • Monitoring and verification activities of the proper fulfillment-execution of contracts and reporting processes (ANAC , MEF. MUR etc..);
  • presiding over and taking care of all the tasks necessary to detect and acquire all the documentation and information to be rendered ex lege to ANAC and M.E.F;
  • Fulfillments related to ANAC publicity and transparency obligations;
  • Management of fire prevention practices and technical support for the management of public works in synergy with provincial Fire Brigade Commands;
  • Scheduling and execution of periodic inspections required by Law;
  • Preparation of files for settlement of invoices for services performed for works, supplies and services – Administrative and accounting management of the assigned budget;
  • management of relations with suppliers, acquisition of cost estimates, verification of accounting documents – Durc request, where necessary drafting of the simplified Duvri, control of the Pos for the works together with the externally appointed safety coordinator.

 

Office of security, sustainability and energy conservation, maintenance and logistics

He is in charge of the following activities:

  • management of alarm and security systems, as well as relations with the contracting company, and periodic verification of apparatus and equipment;
  • Management of the University’s auxiliary, security and emergency services;
  • Management of removals and logistical storage and material handling activities;
  • Management of cleaning and sanitization of university buildings and municipal solid waste collection and disposal service, organization of pest control service, rodent control of the premises;
  • Management of routine unscheduled breakdown maintenance of infrastructure, movable and related assets – Coordination of logistics, audiovisual, security and surveillance activities, including those supporting ceremonies and congressional events;
  • management of emergencies including those arising from institutional activities involving relations with the Public Security Authority and Judicial Police, with the Legal O.U. if necessary;
  • Maintenance of facility records and certifications and verification of room classification;
  • Management and maintenance of Collective Protection Devices;
  • Management and maintenance of defibrillators placed at university sites;
  • Management and maintenance of first aid kits placed at the University gatehouses;
  • management of Athenaeum health surveillance services, as well as relations with the contracted company, and verification and scheduling of periodic medical examinations with the competent physician;
  • Management of occupational injury files.

 

Office of sustainability, energy conservation and mobility manager

He is in charge of the following activities:

  • Analysis of energy consumption derived from active utilities at various university sites;
  • Monitoring of planned interventions on the P.O.R.E.-Energy Saving Operational Plan-to be implemented for efficiency and emission abatement;
  • monitoring of the Home-Work Travel Plan (HWP), in order to enable structural and permanent reduction of the environmental impact resulting from vehicular traffic due to employee travel and assessment, through specific surveys, of their level of satisfaction.

 

ICT

He is in charge of the following activities:

  • design realization and implementation of networks and systems, management control and monitoring of university network and GARR connectivity and related troubleshooting, management and programming and monitoring of active and passive network equipment and troubleshooting, management and implementation and monitoring of internal servers and hyperconvergent system and troubleshooting;
  • Configuration and installation Software (Antivirus, Office, Scientific, Management etc.) on new PCs/laptops to be included in the University’s domain network;
  • Update log of newly configured machines;
  • Verification and possible resolution of software anomalies (Operating system and various applications);
  • Configuration and Software Installation of new PCs/laptops to be allocated to teaching classrooms;
  • Management, upon request, of new PEC addresses on Infocert;
  • Managing high-level support requests between Microsoft and the end user;
  • Configuration and Installation of various peripherals (Printers, Multifunction disp., Scanners, etc…);
  • Assistance in troubleshooting authentication issues related to Microsoft/ESSE3 accounts;
  • Organizing events/meetings on Microsoft Teams platform, Zoom etc.;
  • Verification/Configuration of computer network cards;
  • Technical/information technology interventions in teaching rooms inside/outside the university;
  • Ticketing management for the maintenance service of university IT and multimedia equipment.

 

Office of Auxiliary Services to Academic Facilities

He is in charge of the following activities:

  • Implementation of all auxiliary, custodial activities of the university offices and support for the operation of services, including: opening and closing of the university offices;
  • telephone switchboard;
  • fire alarm control panel;
  • Local inspection and reporting any faults to the maintenance and logistics department.
