National Universities Day 2025: a bridge between universities, territory and community

Today marks National Universities Day, an initiative promoted by CRUI (Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities) in collaboration with ANCI, which received the medal of the President of the Republic.

This annual event is a unique opportunity for Italian universities to open up to the public through meetings, workshops and more according to their specificity.

The aim is to show the central role of universities in the development of the country and the promotion of social cohesion, with a special focus on university cities as places of interaction between universities and the territory.

The University of Rome “Foro Italico” fully shares this vision and actively promotes the link between education, research and territory. In particular, our University recognizes the value of motor and sports activity as a fundamental tool for individual and collective well-being, placing the promotion of active lifestyles at the center of its mission.

With this in mind, the University of Rome “Foro Italico” meets its territory on the occasion of the “UniForoItalico Sport Day“, which will be held next October. The event, which is free and open to the public, has established itself as a model of public engagement in its 2022, 2023 and 2024 editions, fostering dialogue between specialists in the field, faculty, students and citizens.

Through a rich program of motor activities, scientific popularization and functional assessment and medical screening services, theUniForoItalico Sport Day aims to encourage the practice of sports and promote health and well-being by enhancing the identity of the University and its commitment to spreading the culture of movement.
