Teaching skills, development and innovation

The Athenaeum promotes the enhancement and development of the skills and professionalism of teaching and research staff through initiatives aimed at fostering careful instructional design, the introduction of innovative methodologies and reflection on evaluation processes. These interventions are part of a student-centered perspective, with the ultimate goal of improving the teaching effectiveness of courses offered to the student community.

Through workshops, seminars and online or blended courses offered by the Department of Exercise, Human and Health Sciences (DiSMUS), academics have the opportunity to train and update themselves on methodologies and tools aimed at fostering continuous improvement in teaching. The training activities delve into the development of specific teaching-organizational skills, as well as the use of educational technologies in teaching-learning processes, both in presence and at a distance. These include digital platforms and environments, online applications, and everyday technological devices.

The meetings represent moments of discussion and sharing on best practices and the use of new tools for the management of educational activities, such as lectures, exams and laboratories. They also address issues and situations that stimulate reflection not only among faculty, but also among all those who work within the University, with the aim of ensuring an increasingly innovative and cutting-edge educational offering.
