Main lines of research

Evaluation of microflora on different matrices, as indicators of epidemiological and hygienic interest, in living and working environments, with particular regard to the contribution of bioinformatics technologies in public health. Studies on swimming pool and recreational, health and spa waters: laboratory and guideline aspects; operator training aspects including through simulations with “Cavy Pool” pilot plant Studies on products with antimicrobial action and innovative materials for sports and health. Design and development of health promotion models based on NHS/SSR facilities, with particular regard to the role of behavioral factors and motor activity, facility safety and prevention of doping and drug and/or supplement abuse in the general population exposed to motor activity in gyms or sports facilities.
