He has earned a PhD in Physical Activity and Health from the University Alfonso X in Madrid (UAX), a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Perugia, a Degree in Arts and Humanities from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, a Degree in Philosophy from the University of Siena, a Master in Adult Education from the III University of Rome, a Master in E-Learning from the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, and a Master in Didactics of Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is the Full Professor of General, Social and Sport Pedagogy at the University of Rome Foro Italico, where he also teaches Philosophy of Sport and Olympic Education. His main research interests focus on Philosophy of Education and Sport Studies, Sport Ethics, Sport Pedagogy, Methodology of Educational Research, Physical Education Teachers Training and Sport Coaches Education. He has been DAAD scholar at Leipzig University (2011), a lecturer at the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, and visiting professor at California State University Long Beach (2013). In 2014 he was awarded the ASESDECO-Francisco de Vitoria University Prize for Sport Pedagogy (http://www.asesdeco.com). At Foro Italico, Emanuele leads the General Pedagogy Laboratory, he is member of  CAR and Deputy Rector for International Affairs.
